Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Toronto – Hybrid – 100 King St W
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 6 months with possible extension
  • Upgrade Calypso application
    • Calypso has derivatives, interest rate derivates, equity and comity derivatives
    • Pops - funnel in other core system data into calypso to generate accounting
      • Ensuring anything this system is producing from accounting GL perspective is going to be for after. Doing comparisons data before and after
  • She know they are not going to find a contractor that knows the calypso system and knows how the accounting is configured.
(this could be split depending on what background the person has)
Product Control Type job in the past….
Strong accounting background (she would prefer this)
  • Worked in capital markets accounting setting they will step in and help run daily reconciliations, go in and post and generate accounting entries and help with investigations
  • A lot of products they support - derivatives, daily suspense reconciliation
  • More focused on suspense and bank accounts and doing GL posting
Experience with testing…
  • They are good with data
    • They will receive two types of files speaking in "different languages"
      • One report at the trade level with all evaluations and another that has trade ID. She would want them to look at consistency between the two.
  • Running compares of data to ensure consistency among the data that is being generated from the application
Must Haves:
Years of experience: 3+ (IMO I would look at 5+ to begin)
  • Accounting Background
  • Business Analyst Background
  • Calypso - does not matter what version
  • Ledger perspective: S4 "sap"
Trading system: does not need all of these
  • OpenLink
  • Trader EH
  • Imgaine
  • Swop one
Soft skills:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Data and accounting experience (explained in day-to-day)
