We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst with a strong background in the telecommunications industry, specifically in Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) and Primary Rate Interface (PRI) cost analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing telecommunication expenses, managing line migrations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Cost Analysis & Optimization:
Conduct thorough cost analysis of POTS & PRI services, identifying cost-saving opportunities and inefficiencies.
Review and analyze tariff structures to optimize costs and reduce overall telecommunications expenses.
Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management, highlighting potential areas for cost reduction.
Line Management:
Work closely with Local Contact Officers (LCON) to review active and inactive telecommunication lines, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Identify underutilized or redundant lines and recommend actions for deactivation or consolidation.
Maintain a comprehensive database of all active/inactive lines, regularly updating it to reflect changes.
Carrier Coordination:
Submit identified lines to carriers for migration, ensuring all documentation and procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Manage the end-to-end migration process, coordinating with carriers and internal teams to ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruptions.
Site Prioritization:
Analyze site data to prioritize locations for line migration based on potential tariff cost savings and operational impact.
Develop and maintain a prioritization framework to ensure that high-impact sites are addressed first.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement migration plans according to the prioritized list.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including finance, operations, and carriers, to ensure alignment on cost management strategies.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, cost savings, and any issues that may arise during the migration process.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in telecommunications to continuously improve cost management strategies.
Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in POTS & PRI cost analysis and management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within the telecommunications industry, with a focus on POTS & PRI services.
Strong analytical skills with experience in cost analysis, financial modeling, and data management.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of tariff structures and telecommunications regulations is highly desirable.
Experience with carrier coordination and line migration processes is a plus.
