Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 5 Months

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- experience writing code: open to codes languages- Java, Python,
- 4-6 years of SQL experience
- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with AWS technologies


Typical task breakdown and rhythm
  • Bi-weekly on Friday they have scoping call (Business Intelligence team says here are the available analyst the team has and here is the amount of work the team has backlogged. The analyst are able to set the amount of hours they are able to complete
  • Developing an out of drive time dashboard
  • Pull of DPMO, report of defects. – use code to attract information they need from the data base
  • Developing quick dashboards to be utilized for operation/ programmatic facing

As a BI on our team you will focus on exciting and challenging problems, including:
- Apply your deep analytic and business intelligence skill to extract meaningful insight from large and complicated data sets
- Engage business stakeholders in constructive dialogues to convert business problems into logic problems that can be solved with data, statistics, and/or scripting
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, automated infrastructure for data extraction, processing, computation, and delivery
- Support fellow engineers and scientists to deliver analytical projects and build proof of concept applications
- Work closely with data engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to deliver features to customers
- Learn new technology and techniques such that you can meaningfully support product and process innovation
- Help drive new initiatives and data integration projects

Key projects:
  • The teams looks at defects that are occurring on road, such as deliveries or negative customer feedback. HM is mainly focused on the customer feedback and his team will send customer surveys and post deliver customers can say “I like/don’t like my delivery”. Essentially the team is looking to mitigate some of issues that would cause negative customer feedback. Or additionally from an RDR (Repeat Defect Rate) perspective mitigate those issues as well.
  • Right now, the team does have additional work from an overall ACES standpoint. These contractors will be support building dashboards built out, gather information and run queries and put those formulas together.
