Job Title: Business Analyst II Location: Remote (with the ability to travel up to 10% of the time). Dallas, TX, or Atlanta, GA. Contract Duration: 12 Months Working Hours: Core hours are 10 am to 5 pm ET for meetings, with occasional late meetings due to team members in PST.
Overview: The Business Analyst (BA) will work closely with the Product Owner and Solution Team to document current and future state processes and help drive key design decisions. The role involves daily engagement with the team and outreach to impacted business operations to document the impacts around these processes. Under the oversight of the Program Manager, the BA will be responsible for accurately capturing business needs through detailed requirements gathering and process documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Product Owner on requirements gathering, business value scoring, and success metrics.
Document "as is" and "to be" processes, focusing on agnostic solutions that meet business needs without bias toward specific technologies.
Conduct risk analysis and ensure technical solutions align with business processes and objectives.
Coordinate the end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycle.
Develop and implement an organizational change management framework, including communication strategies, training programs, and post-implementation support.
Write business-level acceptance criteria, detailing feature groups and functional success metrics.
Address medium to large Business Unit requests, managing issues, requests, or projects of moderate scope and complexity.
Resolve customer issues proactively and in a timely manner, ensuring clear communication at both the business and technical levels.
Engage comfortably with stakeholders at the department or division level, balancing multiple issues, setting expectations, and prioritizing effectively.
Research and respond to customer questions, navigating complex situations involving multiple parties.
Preferred Skills and Experience: Must-Have Skills:
Expertise in process documentation and mapping, using process design/mapping tools.
Experience with documenting requirements for financial processes and operations.
Optional Skills:
Knowledge of core financial processes.
Experience with ERP implementation (Workday, Oracle).
Familiarity with general business processes in finance, accounting, and procurement.
Understanding of internet architecture, cloud computing, general IT concepts (database, security, networking), and basic programming.
Experience Requirements:
2-4 years of relevant experience using Salesforce or 2-3 years of relevant experience elsewhere.
Background in technical support, project management, and consulting.
