Job Description

Title: Body Weld Technician
Duration: 12 Month's
Location: San Antonio, TX

 
What you’ll be doing 
 Role Description:
  • The primary responsibility of this role is to inspect and confirm new modified equipment and to prepare that equipment for manufacturing production.
  • Confirm that new model equipment meets standards and performs as intended.
  • Prepare and confirm new Bodyweld equipment at the Vendors.
  • Robot teaching, PLC troubleshooting and equipment inspection/confirmation
  • Support TMNA Body Engineering for Body weld model change activities
  • Primary project focus at TMMTX, with possible support of other plant location.
  • Confirming that new or modified equipment meets set standards and performs as intended.
  • Engage in travel (for dispatch) to US, Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and Suppliers, as well as foreign Travel including Japan, Canada, Mexico. Commonly work environment including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills 
 Requirements:
  • High school graduate / diploma
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Able to work up to 50% overtime including weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods
  • Able to travel or dispatch up to 75% including locations across North America, Mexico or Canada
Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with automated robotic welding (spot/arc) and robotic material handling
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, robot programming, PLC logic modification, and troubleshooting
  • Industrial maintenance experience in a body weld shop
  • Experience with AGVs (automated guided vehicles)

  • Client Bodyweld Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Bodyweld Seibi Technician
  • The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical/skilled support to Bodyweld Engineering team.
  • Reporting to the Seibi Manager the person in this role will support the Bodyweld Production Engineering department's objective to provide high quality, low cost and reliable plant Equipment and control systems
