Job Description

Title: Clinical - Behavioral Health Service Manager
Duration: 06 Months (Possible extension )
Location: Member Facing - Cover the Southern Hidalgo area

Need the candidate to be located south of McAllen.  Anywhere between Alamo to Brownsville would be good.  Harlingen would be a perfect middle ground

Position Purpose:
Conducts comprehensive member psychosocial assessments through root cause analysis and performs clinical intervention through the development of a care management treatment plan specific to each member with high level acuity needs. Manages members with severe mental illness who have high rates of behavioral health utilization and/or severe psychosocial vulnerability. Assess members to recommend activities and behavioral routines to meet the social and medical needs of members and their families. Provides support and/or intervention and assists members in understanding the implications and complexities of their current medical situation and/or overall personal care. 

Day to day responsibilities of this the role and a description of the project (Outside of Workday JD):
  • Team member will go into the homes of member’s to do assessments, check on their wellbeing, and assure their behavioral health needs are taken care of.  Assessments are written up as reports determining needs and assist in getting the services approved.  Team member will also be responsible for contractual calls, working with collateral agencies like LIDDA, LMHA, and various providers. 
Performance expectations/metrics for this individual and their team:
  • Team member will be expected to adhere to turn around times set forth by the state in regards to updating assessments, completing documentation and conducting the contractual calls determined by member’s level of care.  They will also be expected to present themselves in a professional manner when interacting with families and collateral contacts.
First day looks like:
  • The first day will be getting technology set up and getting the new team member access to all the systems used in their position.
Required Skills/Experience:   Preferred Skills/ Experience:  
1. Must be licensed as BH clinician or RN 1. Behavioral health counseling
2. Experience with direct care 2. Knowledge of how to conduct an assessment
3. Able to learn technology used in the position 3. Basic report writing skills
Education Requirement: Master’s Education Preferred:  
Software Skills Required: Basic Computer, Excel, Word, Outlook, Zoom,
