We are seeking exceptional candidates who possess a unique blend of System and Support skills to successfully support our cloud service and edge device fleets. This job will require a unique combination of flexibility, troubleshooting, creativity, leadership skills and drive. As part of this highly visible team, candidates have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with multiple engineering teams within (FTR) to raise the bar on quality and the customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Providing Tier II and Tier III resolution of technical inquiries and escalations from client Fulfilment Centers; the topics of these inquiries and escalations will regard our cloud services and edge device fleets. They may include but are not limited to deep diving offline robotic software and network issues, driving root cause corrective action, spares and tool identification
Troubleshoot issues on both AWS cloud service and edge device levels
Be able to write documentation, such as guides and runbooks
Log into AWS accounts to analyze Cloudwatch logs and determine root causes of failures
Utilize AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for managing and troubleshooting edge devices
Perform basic changes on TypeScript AWS CDK and Python packages
Understand and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, including setting up and maintaining customer CDK pipelines
Login to edge devices and perform basic networking and Linux services troubleshooting
Engage with customers to resolve technical inquiries and escalations
Identify and address trending performance issues and improvement opportunities
Capture customer feedback and leverage field experience to improve product design and development priorities
Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is required
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a DevOps and/or SysAdmin
Strong understanding of AWS services, particularly Systems Manager, CloudWatch, Lambda, and API Gateway
Proficiency in Linux OS troubleshooting and basic networking concepts
Experience with TypeScript and Python
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and practices
Knowledge of edge computing and IoT device management
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and writing skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly AWS CDK
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools
Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques
Previous experience in a customer-facing technical support role
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
