Fully Onsite - 8-5pm
Ideal candidate: Bachelors Degree, Chemistry background preferred.

Summary:
This position is primarily based in the laboratory, where the candidate will play a crucial role in providing advanced analytical support and contributing to technological advancements that affect both process and product development teams. The candidate will collaborate across different functions and locations within the Process Development department, leveraging expertise in analytical science to enhance the efficiency and scalability of process and product understanding.

Key Responsibilities:
Apply deep theoretical knowledge and practical experience in small molecule/peptide analysis to support process development, scale-up activities, and formulation development in both GMP and non-GMP settings.
Utilize a variety of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.
Work independently to deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
Maintain accurate and detailed records through electronic systems and lab notebooks.
Thrive in a high-energy, dynamic environment, effectively managing multiple tasks.
Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment and instruments.
Perform routine laboratory upkeep and safety protocols.
Complete all assigned training and ensure compliance with safety standards and site-specific procedures, including training records, laboratory documentation, written procedures, monitoring systems, and log books.

Day to Day Responsibilities:    
1. Solid State Characterization and Formulation Development:
Conduct solid state characterization measurements and analyses to advance the development of drug substances and drug products.
Develop and screen pre-clinical formulations, ensuring alignment with project goals for drug development.
2.Operational Excellence and Independence:
Demonstrate the ability to work independently, consistently producing high-quality results with minimal supervision.
Manage the procurement of reagents, chemicals, and other materials, ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities.
3. Documentation and Communication:
Maintain meticulous and timely documentation, including electronic notebooks, and contribute to technical reports and presentations within a cross-functional team setting.
4. Logistics and Resource Management:
Coordinate the shipment of materials and formulations across different sites to facilitate pre-clinical assays.
Oversee inventory and the purchase of laboratory supplies, maintaining adequate stock for ongoing and upcoming experiments.
5. Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and specific site procedures, contributing to a safe working environment.
Engage in regular laboratory housekeeping, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
6. Training and Flexibility:
Complete assigned training and tasks promptly, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional development.
Adapt to flexible working hours as required by project demands, which may include starting early or finishing late.
Work independently to deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.

Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:    
1. Advanced Proficiency with Specialized Laboratory Techniques:
Proficient in operating advanced laboratory instrumentation.
Experienced with a range of characterization techniques, such as:
-Powder X-ray diffraction and particle analysis via laser diffraction.
-Thermal analysis (TGA/DSC), optical microscopy.
-Surface area measurement and sorption analysis.

2. Project Delivery and Multitasking Capability:
-Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes in a dynamic work environment.

3.Detail-Oriented and Strong Problem Solver:
-Exceptional attention to detail with a robust capability to adapt to new techniques and solve complex problems effectively.
-Proven track record of working independently and collaboratively within team settings, contributing to team goals and supporting cross-functional project needs.
