Job Title: Associate Scientist Location: 91320, Thousand Oaks, CA Duration: 12 Months Hybrid | 3–4 times onsite a week
The Associate Scientist in Attribute Sciences Process Development supports large-molecule development through analytical testing and data review related to formulation components and process-related impurities. This role focuses on surfactant testing, generation and review of analytical data, and close collaboration with process development teams to support clinical and commercial programs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform analytical testing of formulation components and process-related impurities, with emphasis on surfactants/excipients.
Review, analyze, and summarize analytical data to support development decisions.
Support method execution, documentation, and transfer to internal or external laboratories, including Quality Control.
Communicate results to cross-functional partners in a clear and timely manner.
Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field OR
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
Basic Qualifications:
Masters degree OR
Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience OR
Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Execute routine analytical testing of formulation components and process-related impurities, with emphasis on surfactant and excipient analysis
Review, assess, and summarize analytical data for quality, trends, and relevance to formulation and process development
Document experimental work and results using electronic laboratory notebooks and established procedures
Support method execution, troubleshooting, and transfer activities under guidance from senior scientists
Participate in cross-functional discussions and investigations related to analytical results or variability
