Job Title: Associate Director, Sales Model and Sales Competency Training Location: Remote (California) Duration: 18 Months
Summary:
Mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide.
As the Associate Director, Sales Model and Sales Competency Training reporting to the Director of Sales Excellence Training will lead the development of the sales model and sales competencies, FCR training and pull-though globally.
This role will design and deliver global training content and conduct training for all affiliate CL&D employees, including those in the US.
The candidate will be accountable for coaching excellence and written communication within the field coaching reports and in conjunction with sales model and sales competency.
Conduct global training needs assessments, design, development, delivery, and evaluation.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
Coaching Excellence expertise
Written communication and strong impact and influence skill set
Extensive experience in competency development and adoption
Advanced skills in cross-functional collaboration and influence without authority.
Work with US (key contributor) and Affiliate Commercial Learning & Development to:
Implement Coaching Excellence framework within Field Coaching
Strong written communication and written coaching skills
Create a strategy in linking training to data
Develop/enhance sales competency models that are fit-for-future .
Collaborate with global stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes and the required behaviors, skills, and knowledge needed by different roles to deliver them.
Determine content changes required for existing training curricula or work with external vendors to design and build new global content.
Incorporate motivating, creative, and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience and maximize learning and retention.
Once global training is developed, lead efforts to conduct regional/local training activities.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years’ Experience OR Masters' Degree and Ten Years’ Experience OR PhD and Eight Years’ Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated excellence in program management, project management, change management, and managing multiple projects/priorities.
Executive presence and ability to work with a variety of stakeholder levels
Leading without authority and creating a path of innovative work
Clear and concise written communication
Proactive and autonomous learning
Strong leadership and self-direction, comfort, and experience tackling very ambiguous and complex problems
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, interact with, focus, negotiate, resolve conflict, and drive consensus among individuals from various cultures and disciplines.
Proven ability to lead collaborative and creative problem-solving and overcome resistance or barriers.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
