Under direct supervision, the Instrument Technician I is responsible for performing/providing calibration, documentation of instruments and equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, and analytical labs. All work is to be completed to assure minimal impact to production while complying with cGMP and company regulations. Instrument technician will be supporting manufacturing and maintenance activities related to building's Master Production Schedule. In addition, resource will be support the new product introduction, execution of calibration PM, repair activities and troubleshooting equipment and system.
FUNCTIONS
Perform basic calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/ systems.
Ensure that calibration paperwork, instrument files, and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.
Participate in a detailed training program in order to develop ones knowledge in the instrumentation field.
All work must be completed in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, and company policies.
Maintain an up to date cGMP training book.
Support on call response by maintaining a pager or cell phone while on-call.
Other functions that may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree OR High school diploma / GED & 2 years of directly related experience or Certification that is directly related to the role and 2 years of direclty related experience.
Availability to work non-standard shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
Knowledge of temperature, pressure, flow, and level measurement fundamentals.
Reading/Writing skills to perform and document maintenance operations.
Good oral communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to interact constructively with peers/teams.
