Job Summary: The Financial Associate Planning and Analysis, FP&A will be part of the Commercial Real Estate Lending team and will assist and support the financial planning and analysis for the lending platform. Senior Financial Associate, FP&A will have a material business-wide impact, as his or her contribution to the financial planning and analysis process will be key to the growth of the business. The successful candidate will report directly to the CFO – Commercial Real Estate.
Primary Responsibilities: • Leading the FP&A process including running the fund model and being well versed in the assumptions that drive the model; • Prepare presentation and marketing materials, including board presentations, model outputs, senior leadership, and current and potential lenders and investors; • Anticipate senior team needs ahead of planned investor meetings and prepare materials accordingly • Lead the cash planning process by working across the CRE Lending team to be aware of all cash inflows and outflows and work with lenders and legal counsel to ensure we are receiving cash as needed;
Required Experience: • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CFA a plus. • Minimum of 2 years experience in Financial Planning and Analysis FP&A required; experience in an asset manager, hedge fund • Advanced English 85-90% B2+ or C1. • demonstrated ability to: o Partner with deal teams and run complex financial modeling (solid Excel and PPT skills) o Apply deep understanding of deal structuring and real estate financing o Think commercially, strategically, and creatively; interpret and present analysis thoughtfully o Deliver excellent work product in a timely fashion with high attention to detail o Collaborate well with others and develop strong relationships o Deal with ambiguity and comfortably navigate through complex tasks with little guidance o Prioritize and manage multiple deadlines and deliver a quality product under tight time constraints o Be solution-oriented when presenting problems o Seek out, understand, and follow developing industry trends
