Job Description

Job Title: Assembly Technician
Location: Seattle, WA 98101
Duration: 5 months Assignment
Shift/hours: 40hours/week, M to F, 8am to 5pm
 
Hardware:
  • Execute Retrofits
  • Perform Reworks
  • Conduct Repairs - Diagnose and repair hardware issues efficiently.
 Inventory Management:
  • Re-establish and optimize the 2-bin system for program-related inventory.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels for current programs.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team for timely replenishment.
  • Identify and remove obsolete inventory.
  • Organize and uphold the 2-bin system during project changes, adhering to 5S standards.
 Receiving:
  • Establish 5S inventory staging areas for both packaged and unpackaged receipts.
  • Utilize non-powered forklift to unload pallets and organize inventory staging areas during shift hours.
  • Unpack parcels and pallets, responsibly recycle and store dunnage (single-use vs. multi-use).
  • Systematically put away receipts into designated locations (2-bin system for inventory, specific staging for engineers).
  • Notify engineers or relevant stakeholders of received items (excluding items integrated into the 2-bin system).
 Shipping:
  • Collaborate with Canvas to collect shipment details (content, timing, destination, recipient).
  • Collect components, ensure proper dunnage, pack, and label shipments.
  • Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers, confirming handoff of parcels or loaded pallets during shifts.
  • Keep a well-maintained stock of dunnage for future shipments.
 Required Skills:
  • Background as a hardware technician.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet usage.
  • Willingness to learn the operation of a manual high-reach pallet jack.
 Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience in managing inventory for small business units.
  • Experience with or ability to learn the 2-bin inventory management system.
