Title: Assembly Tech
Location: Milpitas CA 95035
Duration: 6 Months

 
Job Description
Hardware:
  • Retrofits - 8 types open,
  • Reworks - 2 types open,
  • Repairs - WBU12, DEN5, AZA5, BFI1, and supporting spares shipping to deployment sites
 
Inventory Management:
  • Re-establish 2-bin system for program related inventory.
  • Maintain inventory levels of current programs.
  • Work with Supply Chain for replenishment.
  • Remove obsolete inventory.
  • Maintain 2-bin system organization during project changes to 5S standards.
 
Receiving:
  • Create 5S inventory staging areas [both for packaged and unpackaged receipts].
  • Utilize non-powered forklift to unload pallets off trucks and place into inventory staging areas [during shift hours]. Unpack parcels and pallets, recycle and store dunnage [one time use vs. multi-use].
  • Putaway receipts into proper locations [2-bin system for inventory, designated staging location for engineers, final destination for DEN21 supplies].
  • Notify engineer or owner of receipt [excluding inventory into 2-bin system]
 
Shipping:
  • Work with Canvas to collect shipment details. [what, when, where, who].
  • Collect components from Canvas team member, secure proper dunnage, pack, and label shipments.
  • Schedule shipment with carrier, confirm handoff of parcel or load pallet [during shift,] collect tracking details, communicate tracking details to Canvas team member.
  • Maintain stock of dunnage for future shipments.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Hardware technician background. Ability to use spreadsheets, willingness to learn how to use a manual high reach pallet jack, willingness to learn 2-bin inventory management system
 
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Past experience managing inventory for small business unit.
