Title: Art Director Location: Chicago, IL (candidates will need to be onsite at least 1 time per week at Willis Tower. Tuesday is typically their day in office) Duration: 5 months. (potential for extension based on performance and funding)
Must Haves:
5+ years of proven experience as an Art Director with a strong portfolio showcasing creative vision and expertise across various mediums and platforms
Strong knowledge of print production processes
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines will be imperative in this role.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of branding, marketing and user experience principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to deliver their best work.
Strong working knowledge of InDesign

Experience using Workfront (this is where the team does all their proofing, keeps their calendars and timelines, etc)
Notes:
This role is truly an art direction role - they will not be designing, but rather directing designers
Crucial that this person is able to work with both designers and clients in an effective manner.
People skills/interpersonal skills are extremely important for this role
Projects this person will be working on could range from safety campaigns that go out to every airport location, or signage for events (doing a lot of event work right now), marketing materials, etc.
Majority of projects will be focused on print side.
Within the branding team they bounce from project to project, but will always be paired with a Project Manager or designer. Could be a different Project Manager and a different designer for each project they are assigned to though.
The team currently has 3 other art directors on staff in their department, 4 full time designers and 3 contract designers
