Position Description: The Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) Program within the Communicable and Environmental Diseases and Emergency Preparedness (CEDEP) division of the Client is currently seeking Public Health Representative 2 (PHR2) position. This position is currently funded from year to year through CDC cooperative agreements (grants). Some in-state and out of state travel is required.
The Public Health Representative (PHR) 2 will provide general administrative support for activities in the HAI/AR program. The HAI/AR program is involved in multiple projects, which are funded through various grants. This position will perform a variety of different tasks including but not limited to organization of documents and supplies for specific projects, scheduling meetings and site visits at healthcare facilities when requested, etc., preparing minutes for all HAI/AR meetings, managing travel requests and authorizations for HAI/AR team members, providing support in all aspects of hiring for the HAI/AR team, and assisting with HAI/AR inventory control and management.
Job duties will include:
Serving as a point of contact for healthcare facilities needing to determine multi-drug resistant organism (MDRO) status of admitted patients
Looking up patient MDRO status using internal database and maintain request tracking system
Creating user documentation for all created systems and as requested
Serving as a liaison between the HAI/AR Team and the CEDEP Business and Grants Management Team
Managing travel requests and authorizations for HAI/AR Team
Performing inventory management and control
Assistance with hiring and onboarding of new HAI/AR staff
Maintaining public-facing HAI/AR web pages
Processing and distributing HAI/AR laboratory reports
Processing and distributing emails from external partners and the public
Taking and distributing meeting notes and minutes
Assistance with data collection, entry, formatting, and technical editing
Providing support to additional HAI/AR projects as required
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to two years of professional full-time staff work.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework from an accredited college or university in public or business administration or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub-professional experience, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
Desired Qualifications:
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Intermediate experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Teams.
Experience in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
