This position will work in HR filing personnel charts and assisting in the office, as well as: • Assists in developing and executing recruiting plans including job posting and scheduling interviews. • Conducts pre-employment screening, and coordinates scheduling of lab work and fingerprinting as needed. • Verifies timely licensures and certifications of new employees and incumbents. • Assists new employees with completion of new hire paperwork and onboarding. • Serves as a resource person and assists in the orientation of new employees. • Ensures personnel files and related documents are organized and maintained in an easily retrievable format and conform to audit/review standards, Audits files regularly to ensure compliance. • Creates files for new hires and purges terminated employee files according to facility policies and procedures. • Collects and compiles data and information and enters data in the HRIS accurately and timely. • Tracks staff training. • Assists with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties. • Supports special projects and events related to these functions. • Processes various HR materials including confidential forms and records such as employment, enrollment and pay changes. • Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data. • Maintains policy and procedure manuals, employee handbook, other communications and distribute as appropriate. Ensures they are accessible to employees. • Ensures human resource information are kept confidential. • Organizes and attends career fairs and employee events as directed. • Helps to ensure benefits are consistently administered to the plan summary, i.e., enrollment within a 30- day window for new hires or within open enrollment period, conformity to life events and ACA. • Prepares monthly reports to ensure all employees are in compliance with federal, state and licensing agency regulations. • Orders supplies for the department
Experience: 1 year of HR experience in healthcare preferred as well as knowledge of The Joint Commission, facility licensing standards and third-party payor requirements is beneficial to aspects of the job. Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and external customers. Education: High School Diploma or GED
