Job Description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Danbury, CT 06810
Duration: 12 Months
 
Job Description:
  • Answering phones, forward calls to appropriate party
  • Assist with technical report writing ; also report assembly and shipping
  • Collect mail and forward to appropriate recipient
  • Copying, scanning, printing, faxing
  • Front door supervision
  • Order required office supplies
  • File completed projects and reports
  • General shipping of items ; Periodic arrangement of common carrier pickup of shipments; Process receipt of incoming deliveries
  • Assist with monitoring badge and remote sample programs
  • Other duties as required
  • Participate in required safety programs; follow all applicable safety policies
  • Knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm
  • Effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Must have pleasant telephone voice/manner/etiquette skills
  • Organizational management skills and effective coordination of tasks
  • Ability to utilize active listening skills and interpret information that is presented verbally as well as to convey information verbally
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and correspondence and to document all activity accurately and thoroughly
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Optional skills: experience using a gas chromatograph; familiar with NFPA 99
