Accountant II Duration: 5 Months Location: Los Angeles, CA (100% remote) Shift Timing: 9 AM- 5 PM PST Interview Process: 2 Rounds of interview (30 Mins)
Note: Entirely remote, but must be willing to work in PST . PST is preferred as deadlines are places as PST and is easier to communicate
Duties
Oversee assigned general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accrual processes and business insights
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements
Execute compliance with internal controls to mitigate financial risks
Support external audits by providing accurate and timely information
Stay up to date with accounting standards and best practices, and provide guidance to the finance team
Conduct regular review of accounting processes to identify areas for efficiencies
Perform special projects, as needed, to support our rapid growth
Focus Areas: Journal entry preparation, accruals, account reconciliation & flux analysis for payroll, prepaids, and general & administrative expenses.
International: This position will be working on international entities. All entities follow US GAAP accounting for reporting purposes.
Skills
Big 4 accounting firm (or similar) experience
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or high-growth company operating in a SOX environment
Experience working on fixed assets, leases (ASC 842), general & administrative expenses
Strong understanding & experience with VAT
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc)
Strong organizational, critical thinking and communication skills
Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
Results-driven individual with a team-oriented mindset
CPA/CA or CPA/CA path
Accounting ERP experience (preferably Oracle)
Education
Accounting degree
CPA/CA or CPA/CA path
