Under general supervision, responsible for the accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and financial reports.
This accountant will support tax audits, abandoned and unclaimed property processes, commission and other benefit expenses, and capitalized expense tracking and process development for newly launched products.
This position will also review, approve, and create journal entries and provide variance provides for monthly bal sheet flux.
Responsibilities:
Prepare month-end close process/journal entry preparation.
Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts/ledger accounts and identify problems to assist in the resolution of issues.
Responsible for certain business transactions understanding the accounting process.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley through evaluating key internal controls.
Perform monthly variance analysis.
Tax and Legal forecasts, acting as Canada country controller.
Must Have Skills:
JDE data and Alteryx experience
Proficient in Excel
Attention to data and detail
Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3 years of experience in the industry.
Nice to Have Skills:
Someone who is engaged, excited, and ideally someone who can conceptualize the work that is done.
