Job Description

Title: SQL Server Database Administrator/Engineer
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Columbia, SC (100% remote)

Top 2-4 REQUIRED technologies
  • Database Management and Optimization: Expertise in database design, performance tuning, and using tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Backup and Recovery: Proficiency in setting up automated backups, performing restores, and ensuring data protection using SQL Server’s native features and third-party tools.
  • Security Management: Strong understanding of database security, including user permissions, encryption, and auditing to safeguard data.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR): Skills in configuring and managing high availability solutions like Always On Availability Groups and clustering to ensure continuous database availability.
  • Government contracting experience
 
Top 2-4 PREFERRED/NICE TO HAVE technologies  
  • Windows Server Management: Proficient in managing Windows Server OS, including installation, configuration, Active Directory, and system monitoring.
  • Networking and Infrastructure: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including configuring network interfaces, IP management, and VPN setup.
  • Security and Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices, user access management, firewall configuration, and regulatory compliance.
