Job Title: Engineering Technician, Senior Duration: 6 Months Location: 6455 Lusk Blvd San Diego, CA 92121 Shift Time: 830-5:00pm PST
Job Description/ Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Performs organizational or low-level design, development, process and/or product test support tasks. Executes modifications and revisions of electronic parts, software, system, components or circuitry with some supervision. • Provides layout and design support for engineers and recommendations for midsized projects with some guidance. • Produces or executes against spreadsheets, schematics, parts lists, and/or MCNs and all necessary documentation to complete a design with some supervision. • Helps develop automated and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test procedures. Reproduces and debugs moderately complex issues and generates test reports. • Installs, upgrades, configures, and helps select equipment and/or components based on specifications, tolerances and reliability. Monitors equipment performance and analyzes moderately complex failures or malfunctions. • Conducts analyses to identify, troubleshoot, and/or diagnose straightforward issues, escalating to leaders as needed. • Diagnoses and troubleshoots simple technical issues with minimal guidance. • Gathers and integrates data and information from stakeholders to understand simple specifications and develop basic solutions. • Manages and executes individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. • Adapts to significant changes and setbacks in order to manage pressure and meet deadlines. • Collaborates with individuals inside own team and with other teams to complete project work.
POSITION SPECIFIC DETAILS: • Perform daily activities as defined by management to support engineering. • Performing system repairs, software and hardware upgrades • Installation of coax, Ethernet, and fiber optics cabling • Building racks and installing equipment following rack elevation and wiring diagrams • Able to work in priority order as defined by management and/or project leads. • Assist with lab moves as well as cleaning and organization efforts. • Lab inventory tracking and updating • Swapping and installing different lab and testing equipment • Reviewing logs and providing feedback • Provide daily status report and updates on tasking • Organize the lab equipment keep the lab tight and clean. • Using problem solving skills to solve issues that might arise in the lab • Support if needed running testing • Install tools and software on PCs • Maintain lab PCs and debug any tools issues that arise from automation. • Monitor test results and report issues as they arise

1. Proficient in different operating systems including Windows and Linux (Centos/RHEL), including Linux CLI 2. Familiarity with some RF equipment like Spectrum analyzer, Network analyzer 3.?Proficient in Debugging methodology and problem solving? 4.?Familiarity with common coaxial and network cabling types, along with appropriate application ?? 5.??Excellent Communication Skills, written and verbal
TECHNOLOGIES: • TCP/IP including DNS and DHCP??? •Linux CLI
Required Education:.? •High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Years of Experience: •3+ years of experience with design, development, R&D, or similar experience in Electronics or related area.
