Job Description

Job Title: Media Programming Manager III/Program Manager III
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)

Summary:

A leading technology and innovation company is seeking a Media Programming Manager to join their Entertainment team within the immersive media space. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and curating engaging video and interactive programming, supporting platform upkeep, and driving the strategic delivery of content across a variety of formats.

Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee curation and scheduling functions for media of various formats (immersive, 2D/3D rectilinear, apps)
• Support real-time programming changes to refresh content and ensure priority discovery
• Triage issues that arise, problem solve with other stakeholders
• Manage systems for sourcing and cataloging assets, and suggest categories and themes that are clear and enticing to targeted consumers
• Working with external partners to identify and program priority video content and experiences.
• Create and manage publishing schedules, working with producers and partners on project launch timing
• Use awareness of pop culture events to inform curation and scheduling strategy
• Use data and insights to inform curation and scheduling strategy
• Partner with product and engineering teams to improve discovery surfaces and programming tools
• Define gaps in content pipeline and flag for Creative/Production and Partnership teams
• Collaborate with internal teams including business development for content rights’ questions, marketing and communications for key calendar moments, and product and engineering teams to suggest improvements to publishing systems and user experience

Must Have Skills:
• 5+ years' experience in video content editorial, publishing or programming for new or emerging platforms
• Keen awareness of current trends in pop culture, sports, gaming, and entertainment
• Experience driving processes independently and moving projects to completion
• Experience with documentation processes, workflows, and schedules
• Experience working with content and video management systems and troubleshooting problems

Nice to Have Skills:
• Ideal candidate has a background at a digital entertainment company, a sports content/broadcast company, or film TV studio

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in any field, experience matters more than education for this role
• Keen awareness of current trends in pop culture, sports, gaming, and entertainment
