Job Title: Senior Android Developer
Location: Austin, TX preferred but can sit by any Schwab location (Dallas, PHX, Denver etc)
Duration: 12 months (Possibility of Conversion)

About the Role:
The Mobile Technology organization leads a coordinated technology approach to enhance mobile solutions for Retail, Retirement, and Automated Investment Platforms. We are seeking a talented Senior Android Developer who thrives as a technical leader and is passionate about leveraging state of the art technologies to create compelling, interactive mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support largescale Android applications.
Implement and maintain highquality objectoriented design and development.
Work with multiple versions of Android SDKs, screen resolutions, and device types.
Support asynchronous communications and performance optimization.
Apply security best practices for mobile application development and integration.
Utilize performance analysis tools and address latency issues for mobile applications.
Engage in enterpriselevel branching/merging using tools like Jenkins and/or Bamboo.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
4–6 years of experience in developing largescale Android applications.
Handson experience with Kotlin.
Deep understanding of objectoriented programming principles.
Proven track record in application architecture, design, coding, and debugging.
Extensive knowledge of mobile technologies, wireless network architecture, and information security concepts.
Technical Proficiency:
Indepth experience with mobile performance, latency, and security issues.
Knowledgeable of current technological trends and best practices in mobile development.
Additional Details:
Successful candidates may transition to fulltime employment after six months.
Tech skills:
Android development experience is KEY –must have kept up with newest tools, AI tooling , Kotlin – espresso exp etc
Kotlin/ espresso exp
How much do they know android? must understand their level of expertise
Mobile development experience (not web is different)
Hands on coding / development exp
Mentor to others, reviews others code, provide suggestions etc
