Job Description
Role: Solutions Architect
Location: Chicago, IL- Hybrid - onsite 3 days per week
Duration: 4+ Months
Project Overview:
Looking for a senior level Solutions Architect to work on a project managing data flows and identifying and implementing data controls. The architect will need to have strong problem solving skills.
Contractor’s Role:
Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
Experience Level: Senior
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Building and integrating information systems to meet the company’s needs.
• Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
• Resolving technical problems as they arise.
• Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
• Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
• Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
• Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.
• Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least ten years’ experience in systems architecture and development methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experiences.
• At least 10 years of experience developing reusable services in an enterprise environment.
• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
• Strong experience with building data pipelines & data processing architectures using Azure Cloud & NoSQL technologies
• In-depth understanding of coding languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc).
• Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
• Efficient communication skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Nice to Haves:
• Experience building data warehouse architecture
• Tech experience with Snowflake or Redshift
