Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Procurement Manager with expertise in IT consulting and software procurement to join our team on a contract basis to support on a digital initiative for our Research organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing all procurement activities related to investment projects, ensuring efficient hiring processes and streamlined Request for Proposal (RFP) workflows. Your strategic insight and strong negotiation skills will contribute to the timely acquisition of IT services and software solutions that align with our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored for IT consulting and software, ensuring alignment with project timelines and investment goals.
  • Manage the entire procurement process, including drafting and issuing RFPs, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring prompt vendor selection.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand their needs and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
  • Work with internal teams to expedite hiring processes for consultancy services, leveraging relationships with recruitment agencies to achieve a quick turnaround.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual agreements, ensuring that delivered services meet quality and time expectations.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and pricing structures.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication among teams to ensure transparency and collaboration in procurement activities.
  • Prepare and deliver procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at streamlining procurement processes and enhancing efficiency within the organization during the contract period.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPP, CPM) is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in similar IT consulting and IT software projects
  • Proven experience in procurement management, specifically within IT consulting and software sectors.
  • Experience with Coupa or similar procurement software is highly preferred.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred, particularly with a solid understanding of Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Inventory Management Systems (IMS), and Master Data Management (MDM) software procurement.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, contract negotiation, and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines effectively, with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all procurement activities.
