Quality Control Chemistry Analyst (QC Analyst I) 6 months Kankakee, IL Shift/Schedule Details:
• 2-3 months training schedule: 1st shift 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday) • After training, schedule will be 3rd shift: 3 days on 10pm-8am (2 days off) plus every other weekend • Actual working days will be finalized by manager after start date
Location Specifics: 100% onsite Kankakee, IL
Job Description:
Performs required testing (finished product, intermediates, in-process, raw material or environmental) in accordance with /Compendial methods and properly documents test results in appropriate records and LIMS computer system.
• Performs required testing in accordance with Compendial methods for the analysis of finished product, raw material, water, environmental or in -process samples. • Maintains accurate, complete, legible, and concurrent records of work performed and enters results in the laboratory notebook. • Follows schedules and meet deadlines. • Reviews test data / results for reporting and documentation accuracy. • Communicates aberrant results to laboratory supervision immediately. • Demonstrates a working knowledge of the LIMS computer system. Enters data and results into the system. • Gains an awareness of cGMP and maintains compliance with these regulations. • Follows company and departmental policies. • Completes other duties as assigned by Laboratory Management and / or Group Lead. • Maintains a clean and safe working area.
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree in related science (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology) required. • Associate’s degree plus 2 years experience will be considered in lieu of the required Bachelor's degree. • Entry level ok but lab experience is a plus. • Good practical knowledge of the laboratory environment. • Understanding of safety procedures and policies • Time Management • Interpersonal Savvy • Effective oral and written communications
