Job Description

Title: Software Engineer
Location: Atlanta/Alpharetta, GA or Remote (EST hours)
Duration: June 2026, potential to be extended


Note: Since the candidate will have access to the development environment and/or PII, they are required to complete in-person verification at a Spectraforce office as part of onboarding compliance.

Description:
Developers are crucial for Financial Crime Compliance business and are key to delivering innovative and quality products to prestigious financial institutions across the world. This role will be part of the CONTINUITY team working to enhance our industry-leading and sophisticated screening solutions used by the top 200 banks. 

We are looking for people who are highly motivated and passionate about Java-based architecture and Agile software development.

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Software/Systems Engineering experience
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Solves real world problems.
  • Provides direct input to project plans.
  • Understands complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Develops highly resilient and scalable applications.
  • mentors more-junior members of the team. 
  • Validates innovative solutions with our customers and continuously delights them!
Technical Skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in fluent English.
  • Strong proficiency with data manipulation languages.
  • Strong proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, Spring Boot/Integration, JavaScript, XML, SQL, in Windows and LINUX operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices: code coverage and reviews, Test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of data storage subsystems (On Premise: Oracle/SQL Server, Cloud data lakes)
  • Ability to complete complex bug fixes.
  • Experience in Dockers, Kubernetes, Services in Azure, AWS or another cloud platform is desirable.
Accountabilities:
  • Interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
