Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join a dynamic Learning & Development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement engaging learning programs that support onboarding, manager development, technical enablement, AI literacy, and other strategic business initiatives.

This position requires someone who is both a learning designer and content developer, with hands-on experience creating end-to-end learning solutions. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-impact learning experiences across multiple modalities, including instructor-led training, virtual sessions, eLearning, microlearning, videos, simulations, guides, and infographics.

Additionally, you will serve as the primary owner of the Intrepid learning platform, managing day-to-day operations, support requests, and platform administration.

 

Key responsibilities: 
  • Design and develop global learning programs that support technology adoption, AI literacy, and workforce enablement initiatives
  • Manage the full instructional design lifecycle, from analysis and design through development, implementation, quality assurance, and launch
  • Create engaging learning content using instructional design best practices, storytelling techniques, and learner-centered methodologies
  • Develop content across multiple formats, including:
    • Instructor-led training (ILT)
    • Virtual instructor-led training (VILT)
    • Self-paced eLearning
    • Microlearning
    • Videos
    • Simulations
    • Infographics
    • Job aids and guides
  • Partner with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to identify learning needs and translate them into measurable learning objectives
  • Utilize AI-powered tools and technologies to enhance content creation workflows and learner engagement
  • Manage and maintain the Intrepid learning platform, including configurations, updates, and troubleshooting
  • Prioritize and resolve platform support tickets to ensure a seamless learner experience
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback and course updates in a timely manner
  • Ensure learning solutions align with organizational priorities and business goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of instructional design and curriculum development experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing the end-to-end design and development of learning programs
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Adult learning principles
    • Instructional design methodologies
    • Course development frameworks
    • Bloom's Taxonomy
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with:
    • Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise)
    • Synthesia
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Claude, Copilot, or similar platforms for content creation and problem-solving
  • Understanding of the responsible and ethical use of AI in learning design
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and platforms
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and accountability
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with video editing tools such as Camtasia, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms
  • Experience with AI-enabled content creation tools such as Synthesia, WellSaid Labs, or related technologies
  • Basic graphic design skills, including familiarity with Photoshop and/or Illustrator
  • Knowledge of Kirkpatrick's Training Evaluation Model
  • Participation in professional learning organizations such as the Association for Talent Development (ATD)
