Title: Project Manager Senior
Duration: 9 months
Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 7J9 (Hybrid 3 days a week in the office)
 
Responsibilities:

• Manages diverse projects, including planning, project launch, control, and delivery against timeline and budget metrics.
• Manages project deliverables through cross-functional teams and resources.
• Applies knowledge of most aspects of the program, down to a reasonable level of detail.
• Assesses business implications for each stage of the project. Works autonomously to develop clear project scope statements, plans, resource requirements, timelines, and budgets on projects of 500 tasks or fewer, or a similarly-sized part of a larger program of which the Project Manager manages a part.
• Monitors progress, project budget, and deliverables through the team and adjusts plans and priorities ongoing to minimize critical paths; balances scope, schedule, and budget considerations to adjust the project with minimal impact to the business.
• Applies some ability to anticipate project risks, but works with management or next-level project managers to identify the majority of project risks and areas requiring the greatest supervision and remedial action.
• Maintains risk management plans which reflect changing probabilities and impacts, presents changes to management for approval, and effectively leads the project team through risk mitigation plans for identified risks.
• Coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity; gathers project status from all project team members and updates a status report.
• Communicates project status discussions at numerous levels, from detailed to broad-brush; summarizes and presents status for numerous audiences, from Directors down to individual contributors.
• Manages two to four projects simultaneously, confined to a single team with no more than 15 resources and a budget of $500K or less, or manages part of a larger program under the supervision of a Program Manager.
• Also manages simpler, multi-team projects with similar resources and budgets.
• Demonstrates solid knowledge of PMI PMBOK and basic Project Management techniques and approaches, including familiarity with vocabulary and process application.
• Fairly adept at using project management tools in applications, including scheduling and staffing plans.
• Some knowledge of advanced Project Management techniques.

 
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5- 8 years of experience.

 
Preferred:

• Regulatory/Product Compliance experience
