Job Title: Data Entry
Location: Whitehouse Station, NJ
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Interview Process: In-Person
 
 
Summary:
The Data Entry role is responsible for accurately entering, verifying, and self-reviewing policy information using proprietary computer systems. The role requires timely entry of information, adherence to documented processes, and the ability to meet set quality and production goals with strong personal project management skills.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Review client/insured data from one proprietary mainframe system and transfer data to another.
  • Compile and verify data accuracy before entry, ensuring appropriate/matching additional coverages.
  • Communicate effectively with agents and internal customers regarding referrals and discrepancies.
  • Achieve a quality goal of 80% within 90 days (progressing to 95% within 150 days) and a production goal of 60% within 90 days (progressing to 90% within 150 days).
  • Review and correct errors within 24 hours of return from team specialists or trainers.
 
Skills Required:
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with Windows 10.
    • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including:
    • Outlook: For daily communication.
    • Excel: Basic updating of pre-existing spreadsheets (no new spreadsheet creation).
    • Word: Creating and attaching documents for communication.
    • Access: For data tracking and record management.
    • Ability to research policy data within proprietary systems and ensure accurate transfer.
  • Communication & Detail-Oriented:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail for accurate data documentation.
  • Ability to follow established processes with an understanding of where to locate necessary information.
  • Time Management & Multitasking:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Capable of working both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Effective time management skills.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
 
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of office/business experience.
  • Familiarity with personal lines insurance is a plus.
