Location: Remote (PST working hours)
Description:
- This role will partner with our team over a ~6-month period to design, build, and iteratively enhance executive-level dashboards supporting enterprise AI and business performance tracking. This role will combine hands-on development with stakeholder engagement to ensure dashboards are scalable, intuitive, and aligned to decision-making needs.
- Experience designing multi-level, integrated reporting experiences that enable users to move seamlessly between enterprise, functional, and use case views, with intuitive navigation and role-based access to insights.
- Contractor Scope –
Design & Build
· Develop Power BI dashboards from structured and semi-structured data sources (Excel, enterprise systems)
· Create scalable data models and intuitive visualizations aligned to executive needs
Iterate & Optimize
· Drive rapid iteration cycles based on stakeholder feedback
· Improve usability, performance, and clarity of insights over time
Translate Business Needs
· Partner with stakeholders to clarify key metrics, definitions, and success measures
· Shape dashboard narratives (not just visuals)
Standardize & Enable
· Establish reusable templates, data definitions, and visualization standards
· Provide guidance on governance and best practices
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering Power BI dashboards for business and executive audiences
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, visualization design, and performance optimization
- Demonstrated experience building integrated dashboards that unify data across enterprise, functional, and initiative/use case levels
- Ability to design tiered and role-based reporting views, enabling different stakeholder groups (executive, functional, operational) to access relevant insights from a common data foundation
- Experience creating seamless navigation and drill-through experiences, allowing users to move easily between enterprise-level summaries and detailed functional or use case views
- Proven ability to structure dashboards for broad accessibility and adoption, balancing simplicity for executives with depth for functional users
- Strong ability to translate business questions into clear KPIs, metric definitions, and dashboard narratives, ensuring alignment across levels of the organization
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data sources (Excel, enterprise systems) to create scalable, connected reporting solutions
- Proven success operating in rapid iteration cycles, incorporating stakeholder feedback to enhance usability, clarity, and decision support
- Experience establishing reusable templates, visualization standards, and data definitions to drive consistency across reporting
- Strong understanding of reporting governance, metric standardization, and data transparency across enterprise and functional views
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams to align on definitions, priorities, and outputs
- Ability to operate independently while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience supporting enterprise AI, transformation portfolios, workforce analytics, or business performance reporting is preferred.
