Job Title: Underwriting Assistant
Location: Broomfield, CO
Duration: 6 Months (Contract-to-Hire Potential)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 3 Days/Week)
Start Date: ASAP
 
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our team in Broomfield, CO. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the mortgage and insurance underwriting industry. The successful candidate will support the underwriting team by reviewing inspections, validating information, and ensuring timely processing of legal documents.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Review property inspections to validate information and take necessary actions.
Process and dispatch time-sensitive legal documents accurately.
Collaborate with the underwriting team during morning meetings to discuss daily tasks and priorities.
Undergo side-by-side training until proficient to work independently.
Maintain a consistent onsite presence at least three days per week, ensuring at least one team member is in the office daily.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis tasks.
Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory standards.

 
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: No prior experience required; however, familiarity with housing structures or the mortgage industry is advantageous.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to learn and adapt to new software systems.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
Work Environment: Experience in a production environment is beneficial.
