Job Description
Position Title: Laboratory Technician
Work Location: City of Industry, California 91748
Assignment Duration: 9 months
Work Schedule: 2pm – 1030pm Monday – Friday. Training may take place 12pm-830pm for first month
Work Arrangement: Onsite only- must be able to test samples in the lab
Position Summary: Ensure the safety, health and environmental compliance of personnel completing the site quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in all plant safety related reporting
- Ensure analysis is conducted in line with QATM's / established test methods
- Ensure all results are appropriately documented and trended
- Ensuring appropriate investigations are carried out where required
- Benchtop analysis in line with procedures
- Ensure equipment is well maintained and perform preventative maintenance / method of assurance testing
- Support quality control and quality assurance processes to deliver the best quality product
- Support procurement to implement plans to ensure and improve quality from raw and packing materials
- Role model behavioral standards for the team
- Testing of raw materials, ensure no delays to the manufacturing department
- Sampling, testing, and releasing of packaging components
- Routine testing of bulk & packed product samples, ensuring analysis is conducted in a timely manner with no waiting time for the packaging department
- Maintaining and updating paperwork associated with laboratory activities ensuring smooth running of QC functions: i.e-specifications, methods, and production documents
- Issuing labels to production and control of label stocks to minimize production delays and errors. Performing QC sample checks on packed products
- Perform duties in accordance with principles for GMP and safe working practices
- Liaise with other organizational functions to strongly communicate requirements and ensure goals are achieved
- General tidiness of the laboratory to ensure compliance with GLP/GMP maintaining lab equipment, glassware and laboratory chemical sticks ensuring delays in testing
- Analytical testing skills
- Previous Experience of analytical chemistries
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Microsoft office
- Preferred Skills: Bachelor’s degree STEM field
- SAP Experience
- 3+ Years working in food, chemical manufacturing
