Role Name: Accounting/Finance – Fraud Analyst – Mid-Level
Duration: 6 Months
Work Environment: Hybrid (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays onsite; Tuesdays and Fridays remote)
Preferred Location: Orlando, FL
Secondary Location: Westlake, TX

 
Job Summary:
The AS Fraud Prevention team leads fraud prevention efforts within the Advisor Services Risk & Supervision Management department. The team supports business goals through fraud prevention training, fraud event escalation and support, proactive fraud call identification, and resolution of advisor firm data incidents. The role collaborates across the organization to share current fraud prevention knowledge and execute improvements through disciplined project delivery.
 
Day to Day / What You’ll Do:
  • Perform as an individual contributor within the AS Fraud Prevention team.
  • Collaborate with business partners including Service, Alliance, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Financial Crimes Risk Management.
  • Track fraud trends and train the field and clients on fraud trends, prevention tactics, and best practices.
  • Aid in resolving fraud events and advisor firm security data incidents.
  • Support fraud and suspicious activity identification, escalate to investigation teams, and assist clients through events.
  • Deliver timely internal and external notifications, communications, and presentations.
  • Represent Advisor Services in enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives involving fraud.
  • Exemplify Schwab’s vision and values.
 Job Requirements / What You Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of financial services industry experience (brokerage and fraud experience preferred).
  • Strong internal and external client focus with proven relationship-building skills.
  • Thorough understanding of fraud trends impacting Advisor Services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to engage senior leaders and peers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to handle challenging conversations with partners and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, strong work ethic, integrity, and ethics.
  • Certification preferred.
