Job Title: Project Manager
Duration: 6+ months
Location: 100% Remote
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Project Manager, you will lead all phases of data-driven IT initiatives assigned to you from inception to operational transition, working closely with the Clients Data Delivery & Governance team as well as third party vendors and other supporting teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will be responsible for defining project scope, proactively managing risks, issues, changes and financials, and leveraging your healthcare industry expertise to drive cross-functional collaboration using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. You will maintain strong stakeholder engagement by facilitating leadership meetings and providing clear and concise communication on the health of the project.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for all phases of IT projects, including initiation, planning, execution, go-live, monitoring and closure while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards with a focus around data related delivery for a project and coordinating the activities of project team members assigned.
- Track, proactively manage, communicate, and escalate issues and risks related to the project before they become critical concerns.
- Establish and maintain appropriate project management documentation, such as: solid Project Plan, RAID log, Communication Plan, RACI.
- Facilitate and drive productive project meetings including team meetings to ensure project resources are well aligned and informed of project progress, risks, and issues.
- Present to Executive Leadership the project health and maintain strong stakeholder engagement to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure project change requests are communicated and approved.
- Work to assign and update project resource allocation needed to complete the work and review & approve project time cards weekly.
- Manage the project finances to keep the project within budget.
- Facilitate transition of support to Operations including project closeout checklists
SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
- Must be familiar with HL7 standards and File transfer protocol knowledge
-Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, Health Information Exchanges (HIE) and data analytic platforms.
- Must have experience in hospital or healthcare systems.
- Must have proficiency in implementing and/or supporting major application packages in and outside of healthcare.
- Experience with Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with Google Workspace
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with ServiceNow PPM tool.
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and are able to function effectively in both, including hybrids of the two.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Business Management.
- PMP certification preferred
