Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Procurement Analyst
Location: Seattle  WA USA 98134 (Hybrid, 3x per week)
Duration: 6 months
Job Hours: 40hr/week, PST  hours.
 
Position Overview:
This role contributes to the client’s success by being a key player in protecting the business and delivering value through analysis and sourcing insights.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Shaping the Business:
  • Project Management:
    Support sourcing managers with timely and accurate execution of sourcing activities. Proactively communicate project information and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Independently manage multiple projects and deadlines while acting as a sourcing consultant to cross-functional teams. Responsible for administrative processes and reporting related to projects.
  • Sourcing Process:
    Apply and improve sourcing-related processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. Execute daily sourcing administrative tasks to maintain high-quality data and information.
  • Strategy Development:
    Support sourcing strategy by researching key industry players, competitors, and market dynamics to build robust market analyses.
 
Driving Value:
  • Value Analysis:
    Develop visual spend reports to identify trends and negotiation opportunities. Lead benchmarking and cost modeling efforts to identify cost savings and improve margins. Collaborate with suppliers to develop analytical insights and sourcing recommendations.
  • Supply Base Management:
    Assist in developing supplier scorecards, assessments, and performance metrics to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Process Optimization:
    Identify and implement opportunities to improve business efficiencies and operational processes.
 
Protecting Supply & Reducing Risk:
  • Risk Management:
    Assist in identifying and mitigating supplier and supply chain risks. Maintain and analyze supplier risk data, including financial, commodity, ethical sourcing, and market insights.
 
Technology Requirements:
  • Microsoft Office
  • Ariba
  • Smartsheets
  • SharePoint
  • Oracle (Nice to Have)
 
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    A degree is not required but will influence the level of experience needed.
  • Experience:
  • 4–5 years in sourcing or external manufacturing with no or unrelated degree
  • 2–3 years with a relevant degree

  • Sourcing foundations: Intermediate to expert level knowledge of procurement processes, including RFXs, category strategies, supplier management, risk management, and legal terms

  • Communication:
    Clear, concise verbal, written, and visual communication skills, including the use of storytelling techniques to align cross-functional teams and leadership.

    Enthusiastic about learning through benchmarking, education, conferences, and applying/sharing learnings with peers.
 
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Knowledge of BPA, purchase orders, and standard buying practices
