Title: Portfolio Operations Analyst
Location: Hybrid – Alpharetta, GA (3 days onsite; first 90 days onsite, subject to manager’s discretion)
Duration: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Bonus: 10% - 15%
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Portfolio Operations Analyst to support the firm’s trading, settlement, and reconciliation functions. Reporting to the Director of Investment Operations, this role will be instrumental in managing trade lifecycle processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations, and driving operational efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in trade settlements, reconciliations, and operational processes within asset management, hedge funds, or wealth management. The role requires a detail-oriented and highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Top 3 Key Requirements:
- 2–3+ years of experience in portfolio operations, trade settlements, or reconciliations within asset management, hedge funds, or wealth management.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes, including DTC settlements, reconciliations, and corporate actions.
- Proficiency in Excel (SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, etc.) for managing large datasets; coding skills in Python, VBA, or SQL are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage trade reconciliations, settlements, and corporate actions.
- Ensure all trades are accurately matched and settled promptly, coordinating with brokers, custodians, and internal teams.
- Support daily operational processes, including account setup, reporting, and data validation.
- Contribute to process automation, system improvements, and operational efficiencies to enhance trade workflows.
- Maintain oversight of trade lifecycle processes, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and investment teams to align operational activities.
- Assist Manager in scaling operational processes, allowing for a greater focus on strategic initiatives.
- Work with DTC to ensure accurate matching of account numbers, brokers, and market requirements for US settlements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with equities, fixed income, and derivatives is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with both domestic and international trading markets is advantageous.
