Job Description

Position Title: Documentation Specialist
Work Location: Remote/Hybrid
Assignment Duration: 4-5 months
Work Schedule: US business hours required
Work Arrangement: Remote or hybrid options available
 
Position Summary:
  • The Organization is seeking a highly detail-oriented Documentation Specialist to support the processing of Change Requests and Change Notices (CR/CN) for an ongoing software upgrade initiative.
  • This individual will facilitate the creation, coordination, and release of CR/CNs within the organization's Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • This position plays a critical role in ensuring documentation impacted by the software upgrade is accurately updated, reviewed, approved, and released in accordance with quality system requirements.
  • The role requires strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent changes while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the creation, processing, and release of concurrent CR/CNs in support of a software upgrade project
  • Review CR/CN content for quality, consistency, and adherence to the organization's documentation standards
  • Initiate contact with CR/CN approvers, providing background on changes and ensuring timely reviews
  • Provide support through document formatting and gathering necessary supporting information for the changes
  • Partner with project Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accurate CR/CNs
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously with minimal supervision
 
Qualification & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s or if candidate has worked a similar assignment with Client, this can be waived
  • Experience with engineering change management processes in a regulated environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure first-time quality of CR/CNs being processed
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • US-based and available to work US business hours
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous CR/CN processing experience in the organization's Windchill PLM system (highly preferred)
  • Exposure to other enterprise systems (MES, JDE, SCADA, Maximo, PowerBI)
 
Additional Information:
  • Candidates with Analyst, Specialist, or Coordinator backgrounds are encouraged
  • Engineering background is not required but will be considered if all qualifications are met
