The Master Data Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and consistent vendor and customer master data within SAP. The role plays a critical part in ensuring data governance, supporting supply chain and finance teams, and enhancing data quality. This position interacts with various management levels and supports audits, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position interacts with various management levels and supports audits, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and secure organizational master data across SAP systems
- Ensure adherence to data governance policies and procedures
- Review vendor/customer data requests for completeness and accuracy
- Develop and maintain data quality control procedures and perform regular audits
- Assist with risk management and internal/external audit activities
- Identify and implement opportunities for data accuracy, efficiency, and standardization
- Handle proper storage and accuracy of tax and banking documentation
- Process vendor data new/change requests within defined SLAs
- Support vendor data cleansing and enrichment efforts
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Accounts Payable teams for vendor setup and updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to master data
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate documentation according to records retention policies
- Update process guidelines and job-specific procedures regularly
- Identify and drive process improvement and automation initiatives
- Develop and track KPIs and control reports
- Ensure data integrity and prevent conflicts of interest through effective controls
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline (Preferred)
Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in SAP Vendor and/or Customer Master Data Maintenance
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficient in SAP ERP for vendor/customer master data
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- Focused on detail, organization, and timely execution
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
Preferred Certifications:
- SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) or Master Data Management (MDM) certification (Preferred)
