Role: Agile Project Manager – Data Organization Location: New Jersey (NJ) / Dallas, TX / Atlanta, GA Duration: 6 months
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to lead complex, data-driven initiatives across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile project delivery, data engineering, and stakeholder management, with the ability to drive the successful execution of enterprise-scale data programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for data engineering and analytics teams.
Manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and overall execution.
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize work.
Translate business requirements into actionable user stories and maintain a well-groomed product backlog.
Track project progress, delivery milestones, KPIs, and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Identify, manage, and resolve project risks, blockers, and cross-functional dependencies.
Drive continuous process improvements to enhance team productivity, quality, and Agile maturity.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and organizational standards.
Coordinate with architecture, infrastructure, and platform teams to ensure technical readiness and successful deployments.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Agile Project Manager, or Scrum Master.
At least 3 years of experience managing data-centric projects involving data engineering, data warehousing, analytics, BI, or cloud data platforms.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile project management tools.
Understanding of:
ETL/ELT pipelines
Data warehousing and data modeling
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Business Intelligence and reporting tools
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated success delivering complex enterprise projects on time and within scope.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe certification.
Previous experience working with AT&T or another large telecommunications organization.
