Business and Civil Litigation Attorney

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business and Civil Litigation Attorney to join a growing legal team in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience handling complex business disputes and civil litigation matters, with the ability to independently manage cases from inception through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Handle a broad range of business and civil litigation matters, including contract disputes, partnership disputes, commercial torts, shareholder disputes, and other complex civil matters

Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation

Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents

Develop litigation strategies and advise clients on legal risks and dispute resolution options

Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel

Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements

Provide timely case updates and practical legal guidance to clients

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Active Washington Bar license in good standing

3+ years of business or civil litigation experience preferred

Strong knowledge of Washington civil litigation procedures

Experience handling complex commercial disputes and motion practice

Excellent analytical, legal writing, and communication skills

Ability to independently manage multiple litigation matters and deadlines

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Trial, arbitration, or mediation experience is a plus

Experience representing businesses, corporations, or professional entities preferred

Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills

Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution processes
