Position: Power Solutions Project Manager
Location: Bellevue, WA (up to 50% travel to project sites across the U.S)
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of extension)

Responsibilities:
Program Coordination & Oversight
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of 12 simultaneous power solution projects across multiple U.S. sites
- Oversee all aspects of the power deployment program from feasibility through commissioning and handover
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of all projects
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of the program, including monthly flash updates and executive summaries
- Lead and direct the work of contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams
- Perform a variety of tasks ranging from technical design review to stakeholder management to regulatory coordination
- Follow and verify that Client specifications are met across all power infrastructure installations
- Ensure all electrical equipment, switchgear, generators, and associated systems comply with Client's technical standards and design requirements
- Conduct quality reviews at each project phase to validate adherence to Client specifications before progressing to next milestone
- Verify vendor deliverables, shop drawings, and equipment submittals meet Client's engineering standards
- Coordinate with Client's internal engineering teams to resolve specification questions and obtain approvals
- Document and track any deviations from Client specifications, securing proper waivers or corrective actions
- Own the end-to-end switchgear procurement process: specification development, vendor selection, purchase order issuance, and delivery tracking
- Track SWGR lead times (10-26 weeks) across all sites and ensure orders are placed to meet project timelines
- Coordinate with Eaton and other SWGR manufacturers on custom configurations and delivery schedules
- Verify switchgear meets Client specifications including voltage ratings, bus configurations, and protection schemes
- Monitor factory acceptance testing (FAT) and coordinate site delivery logistics
- Escalate SWGR delivery risks immediately when lead times threaten project schedules
- Own the air permit application process for all sites requiring stationary generator installations
- Prepare and submit air permit applications across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments
- Track permit application status, agency review timelines, and approval milestones for each site
- Navigate complex permitting scenarios including CEQA approvals, non-attainment areas, and emission offset requirements
- Coordinate with environmental consultants (Trinity) to develop permit applications and emission calculations
- Maintain a permit tracking log with submission dates, agency contacts, expected approval dates, and required follow-ups
- Proactively identify permitting risks and develop contingency plans to avoid schedule impacts
- Ensure all emission data (HAP, formaldehyde, startup profiles) is obtained from generator vendors (Enchanted Rock) for permit applications
- Drive end-to-end project lifecycle: feasibility, design, procurement, permitting, installation, commissioning, and handover
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports
- Coordinate contractor mobilization, equipment procurement, and installation activities
- Identify and resolve critical path blockers with urgency; escalate issues proactively
- Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals under compressed timelines
- Oversee deployment of temporary and permanent natural gas and diesel generator systems (1-5MW scale)
- Manage utility coordination including transformer upgrades, switchgear installations, and service upgrades with utility companies
- Review and validate electrical designs, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and power distribution configurations
- Coordinate natural gas pipeline connections, meter installations, and pressure requirements
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local electrical codes
- Serve as primary point of contact for utility companies, general contractors, generator vendors, and internal Client teams
- Coordinate with Property Construction Managers (PCMs) at each site
- Provide weekly status updates and monthly program reports to leadership
- Manage vendor relationships and hold contractors accountable to deliverables and timelines
- Travel to project sites during critical installation and commissioning phases
- Oversee equipment startup, testing, and acceptance procedures
- Ensure safe energization and transition to operations
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Energy Systems, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on project management experience in electrical infrastructure, power generation, or utility-scale energy projects
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures including:
- Medium and low voltage switchgear (480V-15kV)
- Transformer sizing, installation, and commissioning
- Generator systems (natural gas and diesel, 500kW-5MW)
- Utility interconnection and service upgrades
- Power metering and protection systems
- Demonstrated experience managing 10+ concurrent projects simultaneously
- Experience with switchgear procurement — ordering, tracking lead times, verifying specifications, and coordinating delivery
- Experience with air permitting — preparing applications, tracking submissions, and managing agency interactions for stationary power generation equipment
- Ability to follow and verify compliance with owner/client technical specifications across all project deliverables
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to navigate utility timelines, easements, service applications, and capacity constraints
- Leads and directs the work of others — proven experience managing contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to execute at speed — comfortable with compressed timelines and parallel workstreams
- PMP, PE, or equivalent certification preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically to project sites during critical phases
- Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent)
Preferred:
- Experience with Client or large-scale industrial/logistics facility power infrastructure
- Knowledge of natural gas pipeline design, metering, and pressure regulation
- Experience in CEQA compliance and non-attainment area permitting (California)
- Experience managing vendor proposals and procurement for generator rental/purchase
- Background in commissioning and energization of critical facility power systems
- OSHA 30 certification
