Position Title: Pharmacy Technician 1 
Work Location: Hawthorne - 5 Skyline Dr, Ste 240 (10149)
Assignment Duration: 12 months
Work Schedule: As needed M-F 9AM-5:30PM
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary:
Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner.

Background & Context:

• To help assist the fulfillment in daily operations while they are involved in training for SM Cloud.
• Everyone works together to fulfill the orders in a timely manner.
• Hiring up for Pharmacists, techs and shippers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis.
• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information directly into the system.
• Prepare and submit request for prescription refills.
• Initiate clarification requests.
• Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation.
• Complete reorder processing for the timely filling of prescription refills.
• Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Complete work list according to guidelines set by Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualification & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e., biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience.
• Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.
• Current state’s Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license OR the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire (Foundation Care).
• State pharmacy technician license relative to where the assigned pharmacy is located (exception being NY where a pharmacy technician license is not required). License required at the time of hire 
• 5+ years of experience required.

  3. Being focused on doing good quality work.
• Disqualifiers: Poor attendance (lateness and unexcused absences).
• Additional qualities: Must be willing to work in a team-based environment, able to take on multiple tasks.
