Job Title: Project Engineer Location: Alexandria, LA 71303 Work Location Type: In-person (No remote option) Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Civil & Structural Engineering (High-voltage substation & switchyard structures)
Role Overview
Manages project scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and technical execution for high-voltage structure projects.
Oversees engineering disciplines, budgets, and deadlines while delivering hands-on engineering and design support.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution: Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects from start to finish.
Planning & Tracking: Define project parameters, assign team responsibilities, track progress, and handle resource allocation.
Budget & Deliverables: Control project budgets, project timelines, and final technical deliverables.
Business Support: Assist firm leadership in drafting quotes and proposals for prospective projects.
Engineering & Compliance: Provide direct design assistance and ensure all work complies with relevant engineering codes, standards, and specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil or Structural preferred).
Experience: Minimum 1 year required; 3+ years in project management or engineering preferred.
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (not required).
Software Skills: Proficiency with engineering design and visualization software.
Commute / Relocation: Must commute daily to Alexandria, LA, or be willing to relocate using an employer-provided relocation package.
