Client Overview:
- This position is employed by client; however, the role will provide direct support to client.org, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on emergency response and provides temporary housing for people in times of crisis.
- Client.org is governed by an independent Board of Directors and its mission is to unlock the power of sharing space, resources, and support in times of need. From Australia to France, hosts have offered to open their homes and helped provide accommodations to over 200,000 people.

- This role supports the Platform Team at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Data, and Design, driving cross-functional alignment, planning, and execution across the Platform roadmap.
- The Program Manager enables the team to operate as effectively and efficiently as possible—translating complexity into clear plans, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and driving strong stakeholder alignment in service of client.org’s priorities.
- The ideal candidate brings strong program management fundamentals with the ability to operate effectively in both technical and design-led environments, with an eye toward high-quality delivery and impactful brand communication.
- You lead large, complex, cross-company strategic initiatives and campaigns to reach our audience of hosts, guests, partners, donors, and the world. You serve as the bridge between the Creative, Product, Operations, and Programs teams, as well client Inc’s brand and regional teams.
- You will lead the end-to-end scoping, planning, execution, and launch of marketing initiatives to deliver success for our product and hosts.
- You bring creativity to the operational aspects of the team and deal with solving the how, freeing up your peers to focus on crafting the what.
- You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover new ways of doing things, and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- You are an expert in communication and change management, meaning you can bring the Platform team and cross-functional teams along in a fast-paced environment.
- You have demonstrated strong performance in your prior roles; you are able to effectively influence decisions at all levels; you thrive in ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.
- Work with Platform leaders to establish the goals, roadmap planning & continued alignment, and process for programs.
- Program manage all aspects of projects, including scope, schedule, resourcing & capacity planning, deliverables, process, and budget.
- Provide up-to-date visibility into current projects, resource utilization, team performance.
- Facilitate regular project status and review meetings.
- Ensure the right stakeholders and cross-functional team members are involved at the right time, document decisions and actions items, and follow up with owners on commitments.
- Identify and predict obstacles, collisions, and risk to projects across multiple teams and seek solutions to eliminate them and balance competing priorities and adjust resources as necessary.
- Establish and manage the team’s operating rhythm, including intake, communication channels, project templates, review forums and leadership cadence.
- Serve as main operational point of contact with external agencies, managing on-boarding, kick-off and project development process, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate on supporting workstreams to understand all timelines and weave into a single team-wide program management view.
- Serve as the go-to liaison with cross-functional partners.
- You are an expert in communication and change management, meaning you can bring the teams along in a fast-paced environment.
- You have demonstrated strong performance in your prior roles; you are able to effectively influence decisions at all levels; you thrive in ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.
- BA/BS degree, 8-10+ years Program Management, Agency Account Management, Project Management or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions.
- You can take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line.
- Distinctive problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence business leaders.
- Demonstrable skills and experience in mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated track record successfully managing ambitious and operationally complex projects with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in structuring and implementing initiatives at scale with design and product teams.
- Background in establishing systems: experience developing processes where little exists and demonstrated flexibility to get things done.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about organizational excellence and attention to detail.
- Thrives in ambiguity in a fast-paced, hyper-growth organization.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Data, and Design.
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, including how technical and design workstreams intersect.
- Experience partnering with engineering teams and navigating technical concepts, risks, and trade-offs.
- Experience supporting design teams, including managing timelines for iterative and exploratory work.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems and drive alignment across teams.
