Title: Global Study Planner (GSP)
Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Fully Remote (occasional onsite working sessions required)
Work Hours: Training – 6:00 AM start; Regular shifts – 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

  • Experience in Demand Forecasting and Supply Chain Planning (pharmaceutical industry preferred)
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Excel
  • Experience working in a regulated or GMP environment, with understanding of GxP, GDP, GMP, ICH guidelines and Clinical Trial supply management
 
Job Summary
The Global Study Planner (GSP) plays a key role in ensuring uninterrupted supply of Finished Drug Products for global clinical studies from study start to study closure. This role is responsible for end-to-end demand and supply planning, maintaining optimal inventory at depots and clinics, minimizing product waste, and ensuring compliance with GxP and regulatory requirements. The GSP collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Clinical Development, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to align plans and ensure timely execution.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Manage global forecast demand and supply for assigned clinical studies and programs
  • Translate clinical development product requirements into executable global supply plans and update planning systems accordingly
  • Use planning tools such as SAP, forecasting systems, smart sheets, and dashboards to monitor and manage study progress
  • Lead forecast and supply review meetings, ensuring re-supply strategies are aligned with study timelines
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels across depots and clinical sites to ensure uninterrupted supply
  • Initiate and manage production, labeling, packaging, and shipment requests in a timely manner
  • Identify and mitigate risks to study timelines and clinical supplies from a supply chain perspective
  • Support compliance with GxPs and SOPs, and maintain quality documents following ALCOA+ principles
  • Provide updates and reporting to key stakeholders, including senior management
  • Participate in audits and act as a subject matter expert on supply chain operational processes
 
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma / GED and 2 years of work experience, or
  • Associate degree and 6 months of work experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP) and Smart Sheet / SCPM tools
  • Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Background in pharmaceutical or clinical supply chain planning
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities
  • Experience with change management and process improvement in a regulated environment
