Job Description

Onsite Tucson2nd Shift Hours 2:00pm - 10:30pmPay $28/ hourHistotechniques (Tissue Sectioning and Staining) ? Demonstrates foundational histotechniques of embedding, microtomy, coverslipping,processing and primary staining. ? Operates laboratory or manufacturing equipment. ? Receives detailed directions on all work. Follows standard operating procedures. ? Monitors and prepares bulk reagents. ? May assist in preparation work for moderately complex techniques under the directionof more senior histology technicians. Quality and Safety ? Maintains Right to Operate and ensure that all processes are performed in a safe andhealthy manner; Addresses and escalates any potentially unsafe hazards; Timely reportssafety hazards, incidents and near misses using safety reporting tools. ? Navigates and understands the quality system and escalate issues. ? Accurately performs tasks in a regulated environment (OSHA, NMPA, FDA, etc.). ? Performs and documents all transactions and production instructions with accuracyrelated to the proper receipt, quarantine, storage, and disbursement of materials as itrelates to FDA, OSHA, QSR, ISO, Good Manufacturing Practices and other Roche policies andprocedures. ? Recognizes minor issues with raw materials, equipment and lab safety, escalates asneeded. ? Adheres to 95% or above internal training compliance. Continuous Improvement ? Conducts 6S activities, maintains daily records, assists in the implementation ofprocess improvements. ? Participates and contributes in team/tier meetings. ? Participates in process improvement activities. Teamwork and Collaboration ? Proactively collaborates with peers and with other functions to ensure targets areachieved. ? Provides suggestions to improve work processes and laboratory equipment. Other duties as assigned by management.Education Required: H.S. Diploma or GEDExperience Required: 1 year Directly related histology experience Experience with foundational histotechniquesof embedding, microtomy, coverslipping,processing and primary staining.Experience with operating laboratory ormanufacturing equipment.Knowledge, Skill or Ability: Ability to read, analyze and follow Operating Procedures. Knowledge of basic manufacturing and laboratory techniques. Skilled use of word processing and email. Demonstrated experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement. Experience with Google products (gMail, gSheets, gDoc, etc), preferred. Experience with SAP required. Ability to read, write and comprehend English. Ability to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to be agile and accurate in a high-volume environment. Strong organizational skills, planning skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills - written, verbal. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tasks and competingtimelines. Ability to use the technology associated with the industry. Ability to use precision tools. Ability to have prompt, regular and reliable worksite attendance. Physical conditions and PPE requirements: The physical demands described arerepresentative of those that must be met by an individual to successfullyperform the essential functions of this job.
