Administrative Assistant I
Toronto, ON (661 University Avenue - Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, in-office.
Role Description:
This temporary 6-month position requires a candidate with an administrative background and some knowledge of facilities to assist with reception coverage, event set-up and teardown, setting up meeting rooms, organizing office supplies, and various office tasks. The candidate will ensure the office is well-maintained, efficiently organized, and fully stocked with necessary items.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Candidate Profile: Seeking a flexible individual with a positive attitude and the ability to manage varied responsibilities throughout the workday.
- Education: A high school diploma is required. Some secondary education is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Experience: Requires 0-2 years of experience in the field or a related area. The candidate should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within their field.
- Facilities and Event Support: Ideal candidates should possess a fundamental understanding of facilities support, including basic knowledge of building maintenance oversight, safety protocols within an office setting, and general upkeep of facilities. They should be able to identify and address common issues within a facility to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. They will be required to help with event set-up and tear-down.
- Skills: Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential. The candidate should be capable of coordinating with external vendors, managing schedules for routine maintenance. Proactive, detail-oriented, and possessing a problem-solving mindset are key traits for success in this role.
- Teamwork: Able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of facility operations.
- Supervision: Works under immediate supervision and will report to a supervisor or manager.
