Background & Context
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of relevant experience (3+ years preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize automation systems to prepare samples for proteomics-based, high-throughput drug screening activities with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively with team members to plan, execute, and meticulously document experiments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain advanced instrumentation, including state-of-the-art LC-MS systems.
- Follow established experimental protocols for bottom-up proteomics analyses, including immunoaffinity purification and other enrichment strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline required.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field preferred.
- Hands-on experience in bottom-up proteomics sample preparation.
- Experience with liquid handling systems for automated sample processing.
- Proven experience maintaining liquid chromatography (LC) and/or mass spectrometry (MS) systems.
- Familiarity with a range of biochemical and cellular techniques, including SDS-PAGE, immunoprecipitation, and mammalian cell work (preferred).
- Strong skills in sample processing and preparation for mass spectrometry analysis (nice to have).
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and thorough record keeping.
Education & Experience Equivalencies
- Master’s degree, or
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or
- Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or
